COMSAT Satellite Conference Questionnaire

Many COMSAT alumni have expressed interest in keeping up with current developments in satellite technology and systems evolution. Some alumni are fully retired but still want to stay engaged with developments. Others are still active in the industry and are furthering the state of the art while spread out as employees in many different organizations, or working as consultants. While the COMSAT Technical Review has been a valued resource, available to all alumni at the COMSAT Legacy website COMSAT Technical Review, it's last regular publication was in the Fall of 1993 and it ceased publication in 1995.

The idea of a COMSAT Conference or Workshop has arisen as a way for COMSAT alumni to have a forum for alumni to share and keep up with the latest technology updates and trends in satellite communications while fully respecting the need to protect proprietary information. A group of COMSAT Alumni, with the endorsement of COMARA, have gotten together to foster the idea of a COMSAT Satellite Conference or Workshop whereby interested alumni could meet, with presentations by those knowledgeable in the current status and trends in the relevant topics and willing to make presentations.

We need your help to bring this nascent concept to fruition. Specifically, there are many issues that must be clarified in order to make this a successful event or series of events for all of us. We need to refine the possible venues - suggestion is to hold the conference in Maryland at a location convenient to DC/MD/VA alumni. We are seeking an expression of interest as to topics and we wish to identify those who may want to be presenters.

Please help with this process by filling out and submitting the form below to let us know your interest and to provide valuable feedback with your suggestions and comments.
